Transferring a Domain: Instructions for the Gaining Company

More Information About Transferring

If all bills are paid in full, the domain(s) will be released (unlocked) for transfer.

It is industry standard for the receiving company to complete website transfers.

If the domain is registered with OpenSRS/Tucows

The following information will be emailed or faxed to the customer:

  • Domain name
  • User name
  • Password

Go to: http://manage.opensrs.net/ to manage the account.

NOTE: Please keep this information strictly secret. Anyone with access to the login/password can change all information regarding the domain, including ownership .

If the domain is registered through Network Solutions

or any other domain service, you or the gaining company must submit a request for transfer to them.
