How We Got Started
The Captain Jack name began in 1977 when Bill Dennis (Captain Jack) started doing aerial traffic reports for WHO radio. He has been in broadcasting since 1961 and has a degree from Creighton University in Radio, Television and Journalism.
Captain (Bill Dennis) started programming computers in the early 1980's when "home" computers first came out. Since there were very few commercial programs available, he learned to program for himself and began writing programs for other businesses. 
One thing led to another and soon he was running a small web hosting business dubbed Captain Jack Communications, LLC.
Today the Captain Jack Communication, LLC staff includes employees with more experience than any other internet business in Iowa. We pride ourselves in beautiful graphic design and custom programming, but our business philosophy still remains, "It doesn't make sense to have the best looking web page in the world, if it can't be found on the search engines". If your site is programmed by us for the search engines, Internet users will be able to find your web site.
Who We Are Today
Captain retired in 2007 and sold Captain Jack Communications to Harvey Freese and Charlie Notis. They have been in business together as Freese-Notis for over 35 years. They were one of the first providers of information on the internet and also providing internet services as an Internet Service Provider. Freese-Notis provides services such as Weather Forcasting, ADSL, Ethernet, Dial Up, T1 Lines, Email, Co-Location and Voice Over IP. This new partnership will help us to continue providing you superior service and opportunity to offer more. We have moved to a new location - 2411 Grand Avenue, in Des Moines, IA. >From our new office we have increased bandwidth, a centralized location in the Des Moines metro area, and an improved client to customer communication system.
